We all knew Jon Jones was facing a uphill battle with the when he decided to appeal his loss at the Ultimate Fighter season 10 finale, to Matt Hamill for illegal “12 to 6″ elbows. Jones and his management’s argument that Hamill could not continue in the fight due to a dislocated elbow and not the elbows, was not a good enough reason for the NSAC to overturn the decision to a “No contest.”

According to Heavy.com, Jones manager Jason Genet confirmed the news tonight that their appeal with the NSAC was denied.

While Jones will walk away with a “L” on his record, he still dominated the fight from the beginning to the end. Jones broke Hamill’s nose and showed he is a force to be reckoned with in the light heavyweight division, despite his age and experience.

Jon Jones will face off against veteran Brandon Vera next on the UFC’s debut “Fight Night” on Versus card, on March 21, 2010. He will have his chance to erase the tough loss and once again show he is ready for the 205lbs. division’s best fighters with a win.

No he didn’t those elbows were absolutely illegal and they could have fucked Hamill up a lot more then they did. The ref should have stopped it earlier but Hamill did defend well for the most part and then Jones desides to drop some downward elbows, that’s a DQ.
