Anderson Silva tells Tatame.com that his teammate and training partner Antonio Minotauro Nogueira that he must be more destructive against Cain Velasquez at UFC 110.

“I said to Minotauro that he has to open a destructive, they only give giants for him to beat (laughs)”, said. Knowing the difficulty of the opponent, who’s undefeatable for seven fights, five on Ultimate. “It’s a tough fight, Cain Velasquez is a very tough opponent, but we’re training.”

Nogueira looked really improved against Randy Couture in their 3 round fight at UFC 102, more importantly he looked motivated and hungry to win. Sometimes fighters get into mental boredom, but Cain Velasquez is the perfect opponent for Nogueira to showcase he is far from done.

Cain Velasquez’s strength is his takedown skills, Nogueira’s strength is his ability to pull off submissions from his back. This is a fight Nogueira will have to use his experience into catching Cain with a submission and handing him his first loss.

Nogueira will also have a advantage standing, but can not let Cain get comfortable on top of him and must make him pay coming in for takedowns.
