Thiago Silva came close to a title fight, but came up short against Lyoto Machida at UFC 94. He bounced back nicely with a knockout win over Keith Jardine at UFC 102, but now will face his teammate Rashad Evans next weekend.
While there is no title on the line, Thiago Silva tells UFC.com that he is treating he is mentally prepared as if he is fighting for a title.
Thiago may secure the right to face the winner of the Lyoto Machida vs Mauricio Shogun Rua fight at UFC 113, with a few consecutive wins.
Rashad Evans is also looking to bounce back from a loss to Lyoto Machida and make a run for the light heavyweight title, so this fight may not be the title fight we wanted for UFC 108. But it does make for a solid main event on a card that appeared to be screwed with so many injuries.
Who do you have in this one?

Thiago shouldnt get a title shot he doesnt deserve one he got owned by Machida
