It looks like the UFC is hard at work stacking their three cards for this March, as a rumor has surfaced of a solid lightweight fight for “Fight Night” 21 in Denver, Colorado.

North west Indiana Times is reporting that a lightweight bout between Clay Guida and former lightweight champion Sean Sherk is in the works for the March event. A source from Sean Sherk’s camp confirmed the bout has been verbally agreed to and are now just waiting to sign the bout agreements.

Clay Guida (25-11) is coming into this rumored bout on a two fight losing streak, after dropping back to back fights to top contenders Diego Sanchez and Kenny Florian. He will be looking to get back on track and out of his losing streak against the former Champion.

Sean Sherk (33-4) is also coming off of a decision loss to Frankie Edgar at UFC 98. Sherk will also be looking to get into the win column in order to make a run at the title he once held.

The UFC has not confirmed this bout yet, but we expect to hear more announcements through out the next week for the March card.

This is going to be a boring fight Sherk and Guida dont finish fights and they are both wrestlers the only way its going to be exciting is if Guida goes ape shit like he usually does and tries to KO Sherk with his sloppy punches

Lately Sherk has been trying to finish his fights so its not that bad of a fight, he has cleaned up his striking a lot and naturally throws a good jab.

I think it could be a decent fight, I just don’t expect a finish.

Yeah but after getting beat on his feet by Frank Edgar he is going back to his wrestling and he is going to lay and pray again we all know it thats what wrestlers do after they lose and cant hang on the feet anymore

Clay is going to lose his third straight fight if he doesn’t learn to strike or try and use some takedowns IMO.
