Frank Mir set his focus on one goal in his mind after losing to Brock Lesnar at UFC 100, add the necessary muscle to change their weight difference in order to get revenge.

While Lesnar recently stated he welcomes a third fight against “the Stalker”, Mir needs to get passed another behemoth in Shane Carwin at UFC 110 first.

While Mir may believe the added muscle will help him win their rubber match, Lesnar’s teammate Chris Tuchscherer tells CageWriter.com it won’t make a difference.

“Frank Mir can put on all the weight he wants but when you’re not someone who is used to having all that weight on you, you still have to know how to use that muscle weight.”

“It’s not like if he puts on 30 pounds of muscle that he’s just going to all of a sudden be this monster of a guy. Learning how to control someone on the ground that’s what Brock does the best.”

From what I remember Lesnar’s size advantage made a big difference in both fights, but was never the winning factor. It appears Mir is looking to just even out the odds.

I think the only difference is going to be if Mir works on his takedown defense, if not Brock will just do the same thing again. He has to sprawl and hit Brock coming in on takedowns
