“It’s almost set confirmed the negotiations. “It’s almost set we’re negotiating, but it’s 100% yet. It’s not confirmed by the UFC yet”, Nogueira said.

In a interview Antonio Rogerio Nogueira did with Tatame.com the hard hitting Brazilian confirmed he is in talks to face off against Forrest Griffin at UFC 113.

Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (18-3) has won six consecutive fights, including a knockout win over Luis Cane at UFC 106, in his promotional debut.

Rogerio may only have one fight in the UFC, but do not be fooled, a win will put him in title contention. Rogerio has several years in PRIDE against top competition outside of the UFC.

Forrest Griffin (17-6) recently snapped his two fight losing streak ay UFC 106, avenging a loss to Tito Ortiz by decision. Griffin is also looking back into title contention and needs another win over a solid veteran.

UFC 113 “Machida vs Shogun 2″ was recently moved back to May 8, a week after the previously confirmed date.

The card will now have three main event quality bouts topping off the night. Stay tuned for the official announcement of the card soon.
