There was a previous report that former UFC and StrikeForce middleweight champion Frank Shamrock would be making his return to the cage for StrikeForce in the month of March, but things have since changed as ‘The Legend’ will now be making his StrikeForce return in the month of May.
During media day for this Saturday night’s StrikeForce “Miami” event in Sunrise, Florida Shamrock was able to confirm with MMAFighting.com that his next fight has been bumped to May as a StrikeForce Challengers card will occupy the slot in the month of March.
Even though there is no word as to who Frank Shamrock will be facing in his next fight, he has jokingly said that he wanted to compete against “another old guy” as there has been some rumors of him taking on famed “Gracie Killer” Kazushi Sakuraba, but nothing has come to fruition on that front.
Shamrock last fought for StrikeForce last April where he was defeated by second TKO to Nick Diaz who will be competing this Saturday night for the vacant StrikeForce welterweight championship as Shamrock will be on hand to do the play by play with Mauro Ranallo on Showtime.
Cool beans, still a fan of Shammy. No doubt he’s in the twilight of his career but he;s always entertaining an comes to fight. WOuldnt mind seeing Saku and Shammy go at it or even a Cung Le rematch. Hell he should just say F it and take on Shields an hopefully shuts him the Fack up. One Fight we can almost Guarantee that WILL happen is Shamrock vs Hendo as they fought once in a Grappers QUest match, which is posted n the Forums here for those who havent seen it.
