Andrei Arlovski Signs 16-Month Deal with StrikeForce   | read this item

It appears that StrikeForce has added another heavyweight to their roster of talent as former UFC champion Andrei Arlovski has finally secured himself a home in a Mixed Martial Arts promotion with a new 16-month contract and could make his second appearance for the organization at a May event in St. Louis, Missouri in a potential bout against former EliteXC heavyweight champion Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva.

Sherdog.com learned of the news on the signing of ‘The Pitbull’ as well as the opponent as sources have been saying as negotiations are finally on the way side as Arlovski can now resume his MMA career and resurrect himself back into the win column after tough back to back KO losses.

When he is on his game (and keeps his chin down) Andrei Arlovski (15-7) is one of the most dangerous heavyweight strikers in the sport and has shown it with quick and lethal devastating power from his right hand, but recent losses to Fedor Emelianenko and Brett Rogers have derailed the former champ’s progress as one of the best in the world and is out to prove that he can still hang with the best of them as he has since been spending his time with MMA guru Greg Jackson down in Albuquerque, New Mexico and the sister training camp with Grudge Training Center up in Denver, Colorado working with some of the very best such as Rashad Evans, Nate Marquardt, Shane Carwin and Georges St-Pierre.

Arlovski’s last fight was apart of a recent Boxing exhibition match with heavyweight contender Fres Oquendo in Miami, Florida and looked great in the four round sparring session which ultimately prompted StrikeForce to bring ‘The Pitbull’ into the fold.

No official word has been announced as to when and who Arlovski will face in his StrikeForce return, but if it is Bigfoot Silva or someone else, we will keep you posted.

Arlovski needs to beat up some cans first I’m not too sure about him fighting Big foot in his first fight I just see him getting knocked out again
